DAVIS CUP RULES
DRASTIC POLICY CHANGES CONTEMPLATED U.S.A. SPORTSMANSHIP NEW YORK, Tuesday. Drastic changes in policy in connection with the Davis Cup competition are under consideration by American lawn tennis officials. The president of the United States Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. Louis Bailey, stated today that he would advocate that next year's quest of the cup should be undertaken without the long months of arduous preparation now involved. Mr. Joseph Wear, chairman of the Davis Cup Committee, said that when at last the United States succeeded in recovering the trophy he would be in favour of holding the competition every two years instead of annually.
