“WOMAN RACKET” Gangster rule and the gay night clubs of New York figure vividly in “The Woman Racket,” Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s story of the Gay White Way, which is at the National Theatre, with Tom Moore and Blanche Sweet playing in their first talking picture together. The story Is a love tale set in the midst of New York’s night life, with Moore as an Irish policeman on the Broadway beat, and Miss Sweet as a night club hostess. A number of talking, singing, and dancing featurettes is being presented on the same programme. There is a most interesting Movietone News, a sound cartoon, songs by George D. Washington, an item by Francis White, the song, “The Curtain Comes Down.” and, best of all, a sketch bv the everpopular “Our Gang” of kiddies.
Jane Keigh. practically a newcomer, is Milton Sills’s leadipg lady in “The Sea Wolf,” which Fox is producing from the Jack London noveL
