CHASED BY BULL

CAR SALESMAN ATTACKED f BUTTED THROUGH FENCE From Our/Own Correspondent THAMES, Today. A narrow escape from serious injury was the experience of a car salesman, Mr. Walker, of Thames, yester: day, when he was thrown to the ground by a Jersey bull in a paddock at Kopuarahi. Mr. Walker crossed the paddock to speak to a client when the bull charged him. He fell over some tussock, the bull’s horns tearing his overcoat across the back. On rising he made for a fence. The bull arrived there simultaneously and horned him through, tearing his overcoat to ribbons. Mr. Walker was so shaken that he could not rise for 20 minutes, the bull meanwhile parading the fence. Mr. Walker's only injury was a bruised back.
