’QUAKE KILLS 500
MANY TOWNS DESTROYED ON CASPIAN SHORES FLOODED RIVER OVERFLOWS MOSCOW, Monday. Five hundred people were killed and 4.000 were injured in an earthquake along the northern and eastern shores of the Caspian Sea. Two towns, Uritsk and Chapaev, and many villages were destroyed. The Ural River overflowed its banks and flooded Chapaev.
