EMPLOYEE PARTNERSHIP

INTEREST IN “VALDER SCHEME” OPERATION IN ENGLAND From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. Though the Employee Partnership Institute of New Zealand, whose headquarters are in Hamilton, has met with little support in its aims in the Dominion, it has attracted considerable attention abroad. It is a case of a prophet being of little account in his own country. In England what is known as the Vaider Scheme has gained the interest and support of all three political parties, as well as leading economists and industrialists. Among those who have commended the scheme are Lord Eustace Percy, of the Conservative Research Department, Sir Lynden Macassey and Sir Josiah Stamp. The Liberal Industrial Inquiry characterised the scheme as the most interesting and practical vet devised and Miss Margaret Bondfield, Minister of Labour, has stated her conviction that the institute is working in the right direction. Several journals of some influence in England are featuring the scheme, which shows promise of being carried into practical operation to a large extent there.
