MORE DISPLAY SPACE LET There is a profit of about - £2,01)0 from the Auckland Winter Kxhibition. Though the attendance showed a decline of about 5 per cent, on that in 1929, the loss in revenue was more than compensated by the letting of all available space for display, and Increases in revenue from other sources. The Auckland Manufacturers’ Association and the Agricultural and Pastoral Association each will receive about £I,OOO. The Manufacturers’ Association proposes to ascertain the attitude of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association to the formation of an Exhibition Trust, which will be necessary in reaching decisions on the provision of a permanent site and exhibition buildings. The manufacturers are aware that numbers of exhibitors do not desire the inconvenience and the expense of erecting temporary stalls, according to the present requirements, when the Winter Exhibition Com mittee relies on a lease from the Harbour Board for its exhibition space.
