STORY OF GRAB AND RUN SUSPECT SENT FOR TRIAL Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. A labourer, Herbert Ormond Lawrence, 30, appeared on remand before Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., charged with the theft of £SO from the Addington Post Office. Witnesses alleged that accused, while in the post office on business, reached over the counter while the clerk was busy and snatched the money-, bolting down the street. He was arrested after a chase, the moneybeing found in a hedge. He pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.
