TRAM BLOWN UP
PASSENGERS IN PANIC IN SYDNEY SUBURB GELIGNITE ON RAILS Reed. 10.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. What the police think was an attempt to blow up a tram occurred at Manly. The vehicle made contact with three huge chunks of gelignite and the whole district was disturbed by a deafening" explosion. Passengers were thrown into a state of panic. The tram was badly damaged, but no one was injured.
