GIFT TO EISTEDFODD Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. In order to celebrate the first occasion on which the wife of a GovernorGeneral is a Welsh woman, the Welsh Society of Wellington lias cabled to the Royal National Eistedfodd, which opens today at Llanley, offering a Bardic chair for the 1 935 meeting and also a cash’prize of £25 for the best ode submitted. The chair will be of kauri. The chairing ceremony is one of the oldest institutions of the Eistedfodd. dating back to the lime of the Druids.
