RIOTING REDS SCOOPED INTO “BLACK MARIA” ADELAIDE SCENE CHECKED SYDNEY, Friday There was a serious Communist disturbance at Adelaide today in connection -with the celebration of “Red international Day,” in front of the Treasury Building. The police charged the demonstrators with batons drawn, but the Communists fought them with pieces of wood. The Communists of Sydney had planned a demonstration to be held in the centre of the city, but a force of policemen and detectives gathered ■2O of them into a patrol van at the precise moment when the demonstration was about to be commenced. It was one of the swiftest and most 3ffective raids on record.
