THE GOLDEN CROSS.—With cargo from Pachic Coast ports the American : i ainer Golden Cross was scheduled to clear Los Angeles 3 esterday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on August 27. H.M.S. DUNEDIN RETURNS.-H.M.S Dunedin returned to Auckland yesterday evening after a month’s cruise to the South Sea Islands. She is at Sheerlegs Wharf. Ne|xt Thursday the warship will leave for a three months’ cruise to Southern ports. KIWITEA’S MOVEMENTS.—The Union Company’s vessel Kiwitea, from South Australia and Melbourne, left New Plymouth yesterday for Wellington. She s due there today, and will sail later in 1 lie day for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. GOLDEN COAST SAILS 5 P.M.—At present at Central Wharf putting out the local consignment of her cargo irom the Pacific Slope, the O. and O. steamer Golden Coast is to be d . patched at 5 o’clock this evening for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin to complete .discharge. Her local agent is Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd. RONA DUE MONDAY. —The Colonial Sugar Refining Company’s steamer Rona is due in port on Monday evening from Suva, according to cabled advice received by the company. The vessel will berth at Chelsea Wharf early on Tuesday morning to discharge the local part of her cargo of raw au;;ar and molasses from Fiji, and will later sail for Sydney to complete unloading. MIRRABOOKA SAILS 3 P.M.—Now at Queen’s Wharf discharging the local portion of her Pacific Coast cargo, the Swedish motor-ship Mirrabooka is to sail at 3 o’clock this afternoon for Wellington, Bluff, Sj'driey and Melbourne, to put out the remainder. Her local agent, Spedding, Ltd., advises that it is probable that subsequent vessels in this new service from the Pacific Coast w*ill take pas- , sengers from New Zealand to Australia. THE HENZADA. —Wireless advice 1 from the C. and D. Line's chartered steamer Henzada as to the time of he* expected arrival here from New York i> still awaited. The vessel is expected » report at any time now to the Farmo ' Co-operative Auctioneering Comp # On arrival she is to berth at Prin Wharf to put out the local portion of he;* general Eastern American cargo, and later sails for Southern ports to complete unloading. RUAPEHU CLEARS SOUTHAMPTON. —Cabled advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that its liner Ruapehu, after having completed loading general cargo in London for New Zealand, embarked passengers for the Dominion at Southampton and left there yesterday. The vessel’s first port of call in New Zealand w*ill be in Wellington, where she is due on September 10 to land , her 'passengers and discharge cargo. She will then come on to Auckland to complete unloading and should arrive here about a w v eek later. TOFUA DUE MONDAY.—A wireless message received bv the Union Steam Ship Company from its Island passenger steamer Tofua states that she expects to arrive in port from Fiji, Tonga and Samoa- at daybreak on Monday. The vessel has passengers, mails and cargo, and after pratique has been granted will berth at Queen’s Wharf about an hour after her arrival. Included in her cargo is a consignment of bananas. The Tofua is to be dispatched on her next trip to Fiji, Tonga and Samoa at 11 a.m. on Saturday next. W AITEM AT A DUE TUESDAY.—The Union Steam Ship Company advises that its trans-Pacific cargo steamer Waftemata, en route from Newcastle to Auckland, has sent radio advice that she expects to arrive here on Tuesday morning. The vessel has been allotted a berth at Central Wharf, where she will pay off her crew and discharges stores prior to being removed to an anchorage in the stream, where She will lay up until required to proceed to the Pacific Coast early in September, to load another cargo for New Zealand. PORT GISBORNE T 9 LOAD. —The Commonwealth and Dominion Line advises that its motor-ship Port Gisborne, after completing discharge of her London cargo at Launceston, is to leave there for Bluff to commence her Homeward loading. She is due at Bluff on August 13, and will subsequently load at Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Waikokopu, Gisborne and Auckland. She is due at this port during the first week in September and will be dispatched finally from here for London via the Panama Canal. THE CORINTHIC.—The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Corinthic, which reached Wellington from London and Southampton on Thursday morning, was delayed for nearly four days by very stormy weather, which was encountered after the vessel was south of Pitcairn Island. In addition to cargo, the vessel has on board the following cabin passengers:— For Wellington: Rev. Father F. Devlin, Miss E. Graham, Mr. A. Kempthorne, Mrs. Kempthorne. Miss K. Kempthorne, Master J. Kempthorne. Miss R. Paton, Major E. Rogers, Miss P. Rowe, Miss H. Stewart, Miss O. Temperley. For Auckland: Mrs. J. Bush. For Lyttelton: Mr. H. Reece, Mrs. B. Thompson, Miss N. Thompson. For Port Chalmers: Dr. F. W. Cock, Mrs. Cock. For Sydney: Miss A. Crosby; and 37 third-class. After unloading a quantity of cargo at Wellington the vessel is to sail for Auckland at 2 p.m. today to complete discharge. She is due on Monday at about noon. Captain H. Bowen Is in command and he has with him the following officers:— Chief, Mr. A. Pawley; second, Mr. .J. 11. Dray; third, Mr. B. Harrison; chief engineer, Mr. A. H. Hughes; second. Mr. J. Richardson; third, Mr. R. F. Carr; surgeon, Dr. J. Leslie-Gordon, M.D.C.M.; purser, Mr. H. J. Pitman; chief steward, Mr. E. Vowles. A. S. Paterson and Company, Limited, is the local agent. After completion of discharge the Corinthic is to sail on Wednesday for Southern ports to load for her Homeward vovage. She is scheduled to return to Auckland on August 25 to complete her cargo, and is to be dispatched finally from here on August 27, taking also passengers and mails, for Southampton and London via the Panama Canal.

THE WAIPAHI.—The Union Com*c.ry’s Island fruit steamer Waipahi arrived at Rarotonga from Auckland at even o'clock last Wednesday morning After discharging and loading at Cook Islands the vessel is due back at Auckand on August 13. ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY.—The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa left Sydney for Wellington at one o’clock yesterday afternoon. She is due at Wellington on Tuesday morning and is to rail on her return trip to Sydney direct next Friday. MAUNGANUI DISPATCHED. The Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Maunganui sailed for Sydney yesterday afternoon. The vessel is dub at Sydney on Tuesday morning and she is to he dispatched for Auckland and Wellington next Friday. HAUTURU is scheduled to leave for New Plymouth at noon today, and returns at 7 a.m. Tuesday. TIOKIANGA returns from Hokianga tomorrow, and sails again at 3 p.m. on Thursday. KAITOA Is due about August 7, and loads for Nelson. RONAKI arrived from Raglan and Kawhia yesterday, and sails on Monday at 3 p.m. KAITOA is expected to arrive on Saturday, August 9, and loads for Nelson.
