ORNAMENTS

BEAUTIFY YOUR GARDEN It is not at all difficult in these days to give the garden a note of originality, as well as of charm. It can bo done, without great expense, by means of a few of those quaintly-designed garden ornaments obtainable. You may have seen them, perhaps, peeping out of odd corners, dominating the water garden, or on the lawn. There are available for your choice queer little elves and gnomes, beasts, birds and fiishes, novel garden seats, original bird baths and vases. The prices vary according to the size of the figures and the material with which they are made. Frogs, tortoises, rabbits, lizards, and other small ornaments can be obtained for as little as five shillings. Good-sized specimens cost from ten shillings upward, while a substantial figure can be obtained for two guineas or so. Some of the bird-baths of new designs are very moderate in price, and life-like birds can be obtained cheaply to stand in the water. Garden seats, which look for dll the world like giant mushrooms or tree stumps, are useful as well as pleasing. These modern ornaments will last for years, and help to transform a dull garden into a place of interest and surprises.
