BRIDE WEARS LOVELY FROCK OF HEIRLOOM LACE
SHEAF OF ST. JOSEPH LILIES MILLAR—GOSLING A very pretty wedding was celebrated on Tuesday evening at St. Andrew’s Church. Epsom, by the Rev. F. P. De L. Willis, when Rewa Mary, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W A. Gosling, was married to Mr. Owen Xngloby Millar, second son of Mrs. B. M. Stewart and the late Mr. E. J. Millar, of Auckland. The bride was given away by her father and wore a frock of beautiful old brussels lace draped over ivory satin, the sleeves and waist being of ivory georgette and finished with a diamente buckle. The brussels lace veil, which was caught at each side of the head with a spray of orange blossom, formed the train, and she carried a sheaf of St. Joseph lilies. The frock and veil are valued heirlooms of the family, having been worn by the bride’s grandmother at her wedding 70 years ago. Miss Marjorie and Miss Gwen Gosling attended their sister as bridesmaids wearing maize chiffon velvet with tight-fitting bodices and skirts flared to form an uneven hemline. At the waistline was a large bustle bow. They wore felt hats of a delicate shade to match their frocks, and they carried shower bouquets. Miss Beth Gosling attended as flower girl, wearing a pink frilled taffeta frock and juliet cap. Mr. Vernon Millar acted as best man and Mr. Aubrey Gosling as groomsman. The reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, where Mrs. Gosling received her guests wearing a frock of prune armour relieved with champagne coloured silk embroidery with a hat to tone. She carried a posy of violets. Miss Linda Gosling, who assisted her mother, wore a frock of sunglow chiffon velvet. Mrs. B M. Stewart was In a frock of black panne velvet. She wore a black hat and carried a posy of violets.
