“SOCIAL WEEK”

UNIVERSITY ORGANISATIONS COMBINE Last year’s functions having been so successful in every way, University organisations are again combining to hold a “Social Week” at the university building in the second vacation, commencing on Tuesday, August 12. Different entertainments have been arranged for the different evenings, varying from a play by the Little Theatre Society and Chamber Alusic by the Auckland Chamber Alusic Society to bridge. The final function will be a dance under the auspices of the Faculty of Architecture on Friday, August 15. Members of all the professions, together with a large number of other prominent citizens connected with the university, have been invited to be present, and the functions should prove most enjoyable, besides forging another link in the chain binding the citizens of Auckland to the university of their own town.
