QUAINT INDUSTRY.—There are many quaint industries to be observed in Wiltshire. At the village of Sutton Benger, the chief concern of the inhabitants is the harvesting pf herbs. Country folk for miles around bring nettles, dandelions and other wayside herbs to a central collecting store whence they are dispatched to London. The pickers are paid 1s 10d a pound for valerian root, and various prices for other herbs ranging down to 2d a pound for nettles. Children are shown here at the store with a collection of herbs.
