MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERT

Two performances will be given by the Municipal Band on Sunday. The first in the Zoological Park at 3 p.m., and a second in the Town Hall in the evening at 8.3 Q. The programme at the zoo includes bright marches, hymn tunes, selections “Reminiscences of Sullivan” and “Reminiscences of Scotland,” waltz “Southern Nights,” overture “The Sapphire Necklace,” Weber’s “Invitation a la Valse,” and other interesting items. At the Town Hall in the evening a charming programme will include a Japanese number, “Ke-Sa-Ko,” overture “If I Were King,” selection “The Grand Duchess,” a delightful suite by Landon Ronald, “The Garden of Allah,” and instrumental solos by Messrs. Davies and McLennan.

In addition to five leading women, Charles (Buddy) Rogers has 15 of Hollywood’s most beautiful chorus girls appearing with him in “Safety in Numbers,” his recently-completed Paramount musical film. Rogers’s five leading women are Katheryn Crawford, Carole Lombard, Josephine Dunn, Virginia Bruce and Geneva Mitchell.
