BOXING FIREMAN HAD A DAY OUT £3 OR ONE WEEK When John Christopher Mills Postleweight has a few drinks he remembers his boxing days. However, it cost him £3 or seven days to stage a flgh* with Sergeant Lambert. Postleweight, a fireman, aged 2C, pleaded guilty to assaulting Sergeant Lambert last evening. “As a result of a complaint from the proprietress of a boarding-house in Sentinel Itoad, Sergeant Lambert went around to eject accused, who was squabbling with the other board ers,” said Sub-Inspector Shanahan “Accused took to the sergeant and smacked him on the jaw. The ser geant was in plain clothes, though he told accused who he was” “Accused is a decent fellow when sober,’’ said Mr. Clarke, who appeared for Postleweight. “When lie is drunk, however, lie lives in the memory of his boxing days. He will take out a prohibition order.” Mr. Hunt: Well, it will save him from trouble if he does. He is fined £3 or seven days, and ordered to pay the cab hire.
He was also ordered to take out a prohibition order.
