MYSTERY FLIGHT

AIRMAN LEAVES SYDNEY FOR ENGLAND SEEKING RECORD TIME SYDNEY, Thursday. Mr. A. T. Cunningham, an Australian airman, left Mascot airdrome at 6.30 a.m. today on an attempted flight to England, in which he hopes to beat Mr. Bert Hinkler's time of 15i days between the two countries. Mr. Cunningham is flying in an Australian machine called “Oenairco.” There is an air of mystery about the flight. It was stated this morning that the airman’s name was Gerald Pentland, but that was incorrect. Mr Cunningham is a member of the Australian Aero Club and resides near Canberra.
