FREEDOM IN CHRIST

TALK BY EVANGELIST There was another large attendance at the evangelistic campaign being conducted by the Rev. Raymond Preston in the Pitt Street Methodist Church. Ills text last evening was “How lons halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow Him." Mr. Preston pointed out that many today were halting between two opinions. Some kept out of the church because they did not approve of some of the people in it. but the right thing to do was to get in and help to alter things. Others said they wanted to retain their freedom. They seemed to think that being a Christian meant doing as others wanted you to do, whereas Christianity was the only real freedom. People who tampered with vice and fooled with drink were not free. They were slaves to their p'assions. IrT Christ alone was perfect freedom to be found.
