RE-MAKING VILLAGES
ITALY BEGINS CLEARING UP AFTER EARTHQUAKE SHOCK-PROOF BUILDINGS ROME, Tuesday. The Italian Cabinet has appropriated a sum of £1,100,000 as the first instalment of a grant for the reconstruction of the villages devastated in the recent earthquake. These are to he rebuilt by earthquake-proof methods.
