SECOND ALBANY VICTIM
FUNERAL OF MRS. RALSTON The funeral of Mrs. ,C. M. Ralston took place at Northcote yesterday afternoon, and was largely attended. Tho Mayor of Northcote, Mr. A. E. Greenslade, and members of the Borough Council were present. Mrs. Ralston died from injuries received in a motor-car accident at Albany on Saturday evening. She was the second victim of the smash. Flags were flying at half-mast at the Northcote schools, where members of the family are pupils, and the school children stood bareheaded in silence as the cortege passed. Marks of sympathy were evident on the ferries and on Northcote buildings. Many floral emblems and messages of condolence were received.
The interment was at the Anglican Cemetery at Birkenhead, the service being conducted by the Rev. F. Wilkes, vicar of Northcote. Mrs. Ra’ston is survived by her husband, Mr. William H. Ralston, three sons, and one daughter
