MAUNGANUI’S TRANSHIPMENTS.— The Union Company’s Maunganui which arrived at Wellington on Tuesday morning from Sydney, brought transhipments -x the Brisbane Mam. Balranald Cathay. Narkunda. Burwah, Canberra. Unden. Karoola. Kowarra. Orungal and Macedon. NO WORD FROM HENZADA.—No wireless advice as to the time of per arrival here from New York had been received this morning from the Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s chartered steamer I-lenzada The vessel is expected to report at any time now. She is laden with general Eastern American cargo, the local consignment of which she will unload at Prince’s Wharf to the agency of the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company. She later sails for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin to complete discharge.

PORT BOWEN SAILED.— The Com monwealtli and Dominion Line steamer Port Bowen sailed for Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin yesterday afternoon to complete unloading cargo for Glasgow and Liverpool. TOFUA LEAVES SUVA. —The Union Company’s Island steamer Tofua, on route from Tonga and Samoa, left Suva for Auckland at one o’clock yesterday afternoon. She is due on Sunday afternoon. TAMAROA SAlLS. —Yesterday after noon the Shaw-Savill and Albion Company’s liner Tamaroa was dispatched from Wellington with passengers, mails and cargo for Southampton and London via the Panama Canal. ASTORIA SAlLS.— Having completed discharge of her cargo of Nauru phosphates at New Plymouth, the Danish mofor-vessel Astoria left there yesterday for Nauru and Ocean Islands to load another phosphate cargo for either Australia or New Zealand. CANADIAN CHALLENGER. Advice has been received that the Canadian National Steamships steamer Canadian Challenger leaves Wellington today for Auckland, and is due to arrive here on Sunday' She will bo dispatched the following day for New York, Boston and Montreal, via Panama. ZEALANDIC FROM LIVERPOOL.— The Shaw, Savill and Albion motor-ship Zealandic is scheduled to leave Liverpool on Saturday with cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on September 4. PENYBRYN CALLS AT PAPEETE.— Spedding, Ltd., udvises that the Norwegian steamer Penybryn, en route from Cuba to Auckland with a cargo of raw sugar for unloading here, is to call at Papeete on August 5 in order to* take in bunkers. She is now expected to arrive here on August 16. THE KARTIGI. —The Union Companv advises that the Kartigi was expected to leave Melbourne yesterday (after having loaded there) for Devonport (Tasmania) to take, in further cargo for Auckland and Wellington. From Devonport she will proceed to Newcastle to complete her cargo. THE MAUNGAbfUI. —The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Maunganui was expected to arrive at noon todav from Sydney, via Wellington. The vessel was allotted a berth at Queen’s Wharf After taking in cargo and mails, and embarking passengers, the Maunganui is to be dispatched for Sydnev direct at 3 o clock tomorrow afternoon. THE LIMERICK.— The Union Company s large motor-ship Limerick is scheduled to reach Nelson from Cairns today to commence loading in New Zealand under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company. Her other loading ports are Wanganui, Wellington. Napier. Gisborne and Auckland. She is due at Auckland on August 14 and is to be dispatched for Halifax and London cn August 20. GOLDEN COAST FROM LOS ANGELES. —The O. and O. steamer Golden Coast arrived from Los Angeles last evening and berthed this morning at Central Wharf to discharge the local portion of her cargo. The vessel left Los Angeles on July l and experienced liYie weather until 800 miles out of Auckland, when she ran into gales, heavy seas and strong head winds. So bad did the weather become that it was necessary to heave to for about 12 hours. A section of the cargo was shifted by the heavy seas which constantly broke over the boat, but no damage was caused. The weather continued unabated until one day °ut of Auckland. She is carrying approximafo'y 7,000 tons of general Su-go aml 400 bags of overseas mail. It is hoped to oispatch the ship on Saturday evening for Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. RON A LEAVES SUVA.— The Colonial Sugar Refining Company has received cabled advice that its steaujer Rona. after having loaded raw sugar and molasses in the Fifi Group, cleared Suva at 9 "p.m. y£sterday for Auckland. The vessel is expected to arrive here on Monday evening and will berth at Chelsea Wharf to discharge. She later sails for Sydney to complete unloading. FRUIT FROM NlUE. —Advice ITom Spedding, Ltd. states that arrangements have been completed for the Swedish motor-vessel Parrakoola to call at Niue Island on September 3 to pi«k up a consignment or fruit that wou3d otherwise be lif : ed by the Government motorship Maui Pomare. now laid up at Wellington. The Parrakoola will be en route from'San Francisco to Auckland, and is scheduled to arrive here on September 9. The sister-ship, Mirrabooka. dile here tonight, also has fruit from Niue. MIRRABOOKA DUE TONlGHT.—According to her last radio message the Swedish motor-ship Mirrabooka is due in pdrt tonight from San Francisco. The vessel has geneial cargo from Scandinavian ports. Los Angeles and San Francisco for discharge at Auckland. Wellington, Bluff, Sydney and Melbourne. She also brings a consignment of fruit for New Zealand, from Niue Island, which she picked up in place of the Maui Pomare. She is to berth at Queen’s Wharf to discharge the local portion of her cargo to the agency of Spedding, Ltd. It is hoped to dispatch her again on Saturday morning for Wellington. PORT FREMANTLE SAILS TOMORROW.—At present at Queen’s Wharf loading the local portion of her cargo for England, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line vessel Port Fremantle, is to sail at 5 p.ra. tomorrow for Gisborne to complete her cargo. ABBEKERK GROUNDING. —The report and decision of the Marine Board of Queensland with respect to the grounding of the Abhekerk in the Brisbane River below Breakfast Creek are as follow:—Having considered depositions tendered by the master of the steamer Abbekerk before the ConsulGeneral of the Netherlands, Svdnev. and reports furnished by Pilot J. M. Ahern, the master of the tug Beaver, and the Shipping Inspector. Brisbane, the boar! finds as follows: The Abbekerk is a steel screw steamer of 4.132 net registered tonnage, owned by the United Netherlands Navigation Company, Rotterdam (Brisbane agents. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.- Ltd.). At 13.40 p.m. on June 21. 1930, the Abbekerk left Dalgety’s Wharf, Bullmba Roach. Brisbane River, outward bound, in the pilotage charge of Pilot J. M. Ahern, the tug Beaver being in attendance. When approaching Bull mba Point, the usual orders for rounding were given, but the vessel responded so sluggishly to the helm that the combined effect of the ebb tide and freshwater set the Abbekerk further into ih«s bight than usual, despite the efforts of the tug which was pulling broad out on the starboard bow. in accordance with orders received from the pilot.
