PONSONBY CRUISING CLUB
ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION The Ponsonby Cruising Club held a very pleasant dance last evening in the O’Neill Street Hall, the occasion being the club’s annual distribution of prizes won In the summer season. The commodore, Mr. E. A. Carson, presided. In presenting the prizes. Mr. C. H. T. Palmer, chairman of the Auckland Yacht and Motor-Boat Association expressed his pleasure at the standard the club had maintained. In har.ding the Lipton Cup to the Tarr.aki Yacht Club, the baby of Auckland clubs, he sketched the history of the trophy and congratulated the winners, the crew of the mullet-boat Marie. The prizes and trophies made a fine showing. The prize list has already been published.
