FAREWELL TO MR. MINNS

JNIVERSITY FOOTBALL DINNER At the Royal Hotel last evening the Auckland University Rugby Football Club gave a dinner to Mr. Percy Minns, the Rhodes scho ar. who is leaving torn rrow for England. Professor R. M. Algie was in tho chair. and about 50 members of the c ub were present, as well as Mr. H. \»\ Frost. representing the Rugby Ln.cr. Mr. H. Schnauer rep*esenting e ileierees* Association, and Mr. M. Hoc'.: * O Shea, registrar of the University. The presentation of a wristlet watch to Mr. Minns was made by Professor Algie. The toast list was as follows; “Rugby Union,” proposed by Mr. L. Brooker, and replied to by Mr. Frost; • Referees,” proposed by Mr. V. Butler, and replied to by Mr. Schnauer.
