THEODORE TO FACE CHARGES ON MINE SCANDAL QUEENSLAND LEASES Reed. 9.5 a.m. BRISBANE, Today. The Premier, Mr. A. E. Moore, has announced that eminent counsel had advised that civil proceedings should be taken against Mr. E. G. Theodore in preference to any other legal process. Accordingly action has been launched as desired by Mr. Theodore himself.

Mr. E. G. Theodore, ex-Federal Treasurer, and former Premier of Queensland, together with Mr. William McCormack, also former Premier of Queensland, was recently found guilty of dishonest practice in connection with the sale of the Mungarra mining leases and the Chattagoe smelters in Queensland. Mr. Theodore asked for a full inquiry.
