SEVEN UNDER BOGEY
BOY'S REMARKABLE GOLFING ON ENGLISH LINKS NEW SHORTLANDS COURSE LONDON, Tuesday. A 16-year-old hoy golfer, Olaf Austraiug, with a handicap of four, performed a remarkable feat on the reconstructed Shortlands course. He went round in 65, which is seven strokes under bogey. His card included eight bogeys, seven “birdies,” and one “eagle.” Austraing will later compete in the boys’ championship at St. Andrews.
The records for tho Shortlands link.--, which is near Kavensbourne, Kept were 72 by an amateur and 66 by a professional. A “birdie” is one stroke and an “eagle” two strokes undier bogey.
