PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL
From Our Own Correspondent PUKEKOHE. Tuesday. The Pukekohe Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. John Routly, presiding. The Valuation Department intimated that the revaluation of the borough would be undertaken as soon as the valuer completed work in other disricts. Support was forthcoming for the Otahuhu Borough Council in its petition to Parliament asking that subsidies on main highways laid down in permanent material prior to the establishment of the Highways Act be made retrospective. It wafi decided to make representations through Mr. J. N. Massey. M.P., for an allocation from the petrol-tax for boroughs with a population of under 6,000.
