Mt. Eden Fire Brigade Social
Jolly Dance Evening Tho Alount Eden Firo Brigade held its second social and dance of the season at tho tire station, Alount Eden, on Saturday evening. Items were contributed by Aliss Woods and Alessrs. Lambert, Harvey and L. Honeycombo. Airs. J. Maskell received the guests wearing an ankle-length frock of black georgette and lace. Among those present were: Mrs. AToore, who wore black crepe de i Airs. Dagenkolla, purple embossed georgette; Airs. Cyril Johnston, rose pink crepe satin and tulle; Airs. E. Jenkins, rose floral taffeta; Mrs. Wardrop. black crepe •de chine; Airs. A. Barton, pale green crepe de chine and Chantilly lace; Airs. C. H. Nelson, eau de nil taffeta. Airs. G. Massey, rose lace over crepe de chine; Mrs. C. Linton, beige lace over apricot crepe de chine; Mrs. B. Ilone}'combe, turquoise blue satin; Mrs. J. E. Williams, black crepe de chine: Mrs. F. Maskell, blue net over satin; Aliss Belle Clarkson, silver lame; Aliss V. Rickard, floral georgette. Aliss Dorothy Ross, in gold embroidered frock and figured lame bridge coat; Aliss C. Prescott, pink taffeta; Aliss Sybil Alaekay, shell pink taffeta; Miss L. Heine, periwinkle blue satin; Miss K. Mulhane. orange satin relieved with green: Aliss Annie Monk, green floral taffeta; Miss Corrie Clarkson, pink satin beaute: Miss Mae Nason, blush rose georgette and diamente; Miss Olga Dagenkolla, wine ring velvet; Aliss E. Usher, apple green taffeta and diamente trimming; Miss L. Renwiok. black satin trimmed with biscuit satin; Aliss O. Lord, moonlight blue taffeta; Miss Norah Afullan, green satin; Miss Ray AToore, black georgette and floral lace; Aliss K. Alaskell, turquoise blue taffeta. ' DANCE FESTIVAL GIRL GUIDES IN COSTUME Dressed in quaint costumes and dancing the Old Country folk dances, a largo number of Auckland Girl Guides made a charming picture in tho Symondsville Cabaret last evening, when a country dance festival was held. Among the onlookers were Airs. R. J. Coats and Miss Beryl Knight, Auckland divisional commissioners, the district commissioners and mothers of the Guides. Special exhibitions of country dancing were given by pupils of Madame Edith Baird.
