Birkenhead Dance

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION IS | ARRANGED IN AID OF UN- 1 | EMPLOYMENT DISTRESS 1 i JOINT ORGANISERS A very successful dance, organised by Mrs. W. B. Dar'ow and Mrs. J. Gracie, to raise funds for the unemployed, was held in the Foresters’ Hall, Birkenhead, last evening. The hall was a gay scene with decorations of coloured streamers and punga ferns, and the dance music supplied by the “Merry Makers” Orchestra was greatly appreciated. Mrs. W. B. Darlow wore a frock of lemon georgette and gold lace, and Mrs J Gracie was wearing a mauve taffeta frock. Among those also present included; The Mayoress of Birkenhead, Mrs. J. P. MePhail, who was wearing a black satin frock; Mrs. Tothill, cyclamen lame and gold lace; Mrs. A. Clow, midnight blue crepe de chine and lace; Airs. Mills, black beaded georgette; Airs. Osborne, cinnamon satin and lace; Airs. Fred Let's, white satin beaute and georgette, with shoulder posy; Airs. J. Gulley, saxe blue satin with silver trimmings; Airs. Atay, mist pink crepe de chine; Airs. W. Neech, black satin; Airs. Queenin, black silk lace over satin beaute; Mrs. A. Wilkins N saxe blue lace and georgette. Airs. E.
