DOCTOR’S NARROW ESCAPE

COLLISION WITH LORRY From Our Own Correspondent TE KUITI, Today. A Te Kuiti doctor had a narrow escape from injury on Monday. At a particularly bad bend of the road near Mapiu a car driven by Dr. Isaac, of To Kuiti. and a motor-lorry driven by Mr H. Zimmerman, violently collided. Tho doctor was returning from visit ing a patient at Mokauiti. and the lorry was proceeding from Mapiu to Wai miha. The impact was verj severe but luckily both drivers escaped injury. The doctor’s car received extensive damage to the radiator, engine mudguards and head lamps. The lorrv suffered onlj- minor damage.
