PETERWAH RETIRES
BETERWAH, 4.23 4-5, holder of the world’* two-mile race record for trotters, has been definitely retired to the stud and is quartered at A. Hendriksen's Santa Rosa Farm. A few months ago Peterwah was sent from Gisborne to Addington with a view to being given a special preparation for the August meeting after which he was to be sent against the mile trotting record. A slight injury in his work prevented him from being got to his best form and it was deemed advisable not to persevere with him.
