WOMAN BADLY BURNED

DRESS CATCHES FIRE IN SERIOUS CONDITION From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI, Tuesday. A serious accident occurred at Waro this morning. Mrs. Margaret Brown was standing in front of a fire in her home in Cartei-’s Road, when her dress caught fire. Her husband fought fran tically to extinguish the flames and became considerably scorched in doing so. The Whangarei ambulance was sum moned and conveyed Mrs. Brown te the hospital in a state of collapse. On admission she was operated upon almost immediately. Burns extended over the back, chest and arms, and she is regarded as being in an extremely serious condition. She is the mother of six young children.
