MINISTER CONFERS WITH OFFICERS “NOTHING TO ANNOUNCE” THE SUN'S Parliamentary Reporter PARLIAMENT BLDGS., Today. A conference of territorial officers representing all the centres of New Zealand, and the Minister of Defence, the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, was held this morning, when Major-General R. Young nut forward an alternative scheme of military training to take the place of the system that has just been suspended. There was also present at the conference the Public Service Commissioner, Mr. P. D. N. Verschaffelt. After the conference the Minister said that he had nothing to announce, and that the details of any proposed reorganisation would come before Parliament.
