ALL BLACK BRIDEGROOM AND BEST MAN.—Mr. J. H. Harris, a well-known All Black, was married a few days ago to Miss K. R. Palmer, of Christchurch. His best man was Mr. S. R. Carleton. Mr. Harris and Mr. Carleton both played together in the Christchurch Old Boys team and both have won the All Black jersey abroad.
EARTHQUAKES WRECK SOUTHERN ITALY.—The market-square at Treviso, in Venezia, where 20 perons were killed as a result of a tremendous cyclone, following the earthquakes that razed so many towns. Many other people were injured and a number of buildings collapsed.
