The new title-holders are:—Flyweight, F. Bruno; bantam. J. McLachfeather. R. Purdic; light, R B. Martin: welter, ID. Cleverley; middle, I: Xcale; light-heavy, R. P. Cowan; ■yavy. P- McCarthny. Purdie is 11 the best of the lot, but he apLred stale last evening, and wou’d be : ve ll advised to take rest before the \ e r Zealand championships. Neale is just a wicious battler, and Cowan was not -oubled to win his class. Me* . irthney had the hardest fight of the night to defeat Painter, and he apppnrs to be about the best heavydght in the country, provided lie can iways reproduce the same form.
