SERVICE TO OPEN NEXT MONTH ASSURANCE FROM P.M.G. Press Association NAPIER. Today. An assurance that it would be possible for New Zealanders to talk to Australia by telephone before the end of August was given by the Postmas-ter-General, the Hon. J. R. Donald, when opening the new Napier Post Office this morning. The rates had yet been decided on, said Mr. Donald, but the preparations were well in hand for the institution of a trans-Tasman telephone service, Mr. Donald was presented with a gold key as a souvenir of the occasion by the Mayor, Mr. J.
