A by-election was held on Saturday for the Lane Cove seat in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, rendered vacant by the death labt month of Mr. B. C. Walmsley (Nationalist), the former member. The final figures are; Fitzsimons (Nationalist) .. 7,lbu F. Hunt (Labour) .. .... 4,990 F. Dunn (Australian Party). 3,344 Mr Fitzsimmons received 1;393 of Mr. Dunn’s preferences, and Mr. Hunt 918.
