PRINCE FORCED DOWN
BAD VISIBILITY CUTS SHORT FLIGHT TO SHOW AIR OFFICIALS INSIST JMtisft Official Wireless RUGBY, Saturday. The Prince of Wales left Hendon yesterday to fly to Carnarvon, to open the Roya.l Welsh Agricultural Show. The visibility and other conditions vere so bad that a landing was made at Birmingham, about halt way. After waiting two hours for the weather to clear the Prince, on the insistent adTice of tile officials of the Air Ministry, abandoned hope of proceeding further and returned to Hendon. The Prince has never had to postpone or abandon an air journey before.
