RIALTO, NEWMARKET

Paramount’s first all-colour production, “The Vagabond King.” now being shown at the Rialto Theatre, in which Dennis King is starred, is the largest and most ambitious talking picture yet to be made by that organisation. Fifty-five mammoth settings are used in the production. Hundreds of tapestries, rich draperies, and mural paintings were secured by the property department to decorate the huge scenes in true Louis XI. manner. In the huge garden fete setting 10,000 genuine roses, in addition to mamhundreds of plants and other flowers, were used for decorative purposes. The entire cast of principals and several hundred extra players appear in this scene.
