ELDERLY PASSENGER KILLED Press Association WOODVILLE. Saturday. A motor-lorry loaded with firewood and driven by Mr. J. Burlaee of Woodville, while it was descending the hill on the Saddle Road at about r.,15 p.m. today fell a distance of 50 to 60ft. The driver escaped with minor injuries, but an elderly man, Mr. J. Mitchell, received severe injuries. and died later, after he had been attended by Dr. Miles. Mr. Mitchell was married, with a family who are living in various parts of New Zealand.
