MOVE HELD UNNECESSARY
P. AND T. OFFICERS’ GUILD Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday. According to a statement issued to tho Press, a motion was carried at a meeting of the Wellington section of the Post and Telegraph Association to the effect that a controlling officers’ guild was unnecessary. It was stated that about 150 members were present at the meeting, and that these included 50 controlling officers. An amendment that the forming of a guild was a matter for determination by those eligible for membership was defeated. WANGANUI DISAPPROVAL Press Association WANGAN Ul. Frida y. At a fully attended meeting of controlling officers at Wanganui this evening, the following resolution was carried:—“That tills meeting ot* controlling officers strongly disapproves of an attempt being made to form a Post and Telegraph Officers’ Guild for controlling officers, and is of opinion that the present association. being given the opportunity, can best safeguard and advance the interests of the controlling officers and the service as a whole.”
