PRINCE FLIES ALONE

TAKES OWN PLANE SHORT WAY FROM AIRDROME STEP IN AVIATION CAREER LONDON, Thursday. 1 The aviation correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says the Prince of Wales has taken a noteworthy step in his career as airman. He recently made flights unaccompanied by a pilot or any other person. The solo flights were made at Northolt airdrome, in the Tomtit twoseater machine which the Prince entered for the King’s Cup air race, when it was flown by Squadron-Leader Don. The Prince’s fights were of short duration and he did not go far from the airdrome. His take-offs and landings were quite successful.
