FUNDS FOR UNEMPLOYED
MUSICAL PARTIES AT BIRKENHEAD MRS. W. B. DARLOW IS HOSTESS A musical afternoon and evening was given by Mrs. W. B. Darlow, at her house in Birkenhead this week, to raise funds to help the unemployment distress of the district. Musical items were contributed during the afternoon by Mrs. Morison MacDonald. Miss Laura Walker. Miss Myra Monk. Mrs. A. D. Maxwell and Miss Mavis Hewson. Among those present were: Mrs. MePhail, Mayoress; Miss* Myra Monk, Mrs. Maxwell, Miss Laura Walker. Mrs. Morison MacDonald. Miss Mavis Hewson, Mrs. H. S. Paterson, Mrs. Kemp. Miss McKinstry, Miss Mills, Mrs. Norton, Miss Collins, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Bell, Mrs. Berry, Mrs. Coyle, Mrs. Davis. Mrs. Gracie. Mrs. Gilfill an. Mrs. Gully, Mrs. Hubble, Mrs. Wood. Miss Mur ley. Mrs. Hollows, Mrs. L. Moller, Mrs. Hilton. Mrs. Nelson. At the evening entertainment musical items were contributed by Miss Laura Walker, Miss Myra Monk. Mr. Hugh Woods, Mrs. Armstrong Keren, Mrs A. D. Maxwell. Miss Mavis Hewson Mrs. Morison MacDonald, Miss Reta McCullay and Miss Claire Seale. Among those present were: Mrs. Woods, wlto wore black crepe do chine: Mrs. Klingender. green georgette: Mrs. Hewson, orchid silk net and taffeta: Mrs. R. Hayrnan, black and silver satin beaute; Mrs. A. Keven, black lace over flame georgette; Mrs. D. MacXicol, oriental georgette; Mrs. A. D. Maxwell, Chantilly lace over ivory satin, with frilled silk net skirt; Mrs. J. H. Wood, black lace and georgette gown; Mrs. Morison MacDonald, green sequined georgette. Mrs. Laing-Meason. wearing black satin and embroidered coatee; Mrs. H. S. Patterson, gold lace over apricot georgette: Mrs. J. L. Prescott, bronze ring velvet; Mrs. G. Wilson, flounced frock of floral ring velvet; Miss Mavis Hewson, nile green embossed georgette; Miss G. Hewson, cameo pink georgette; Miss G. Monk, biscuit georgette and lace; Miss Laura Walker, moonlight blue tinsel lame; Miss V. Watkinson, black and oriental crepe de chine; Miss Reta Mao* Cullay. moonlight blue chiffon velvet; Miss Claire Sale, rainbow tinted georgette.
