PAPAKURA BOWLING CLUB

AFFILIATION TO STAND From Our Own Correspondent PAPAKURA, Today. A general meeting of the Papakura Bowling Club was held in the Premier Buildings last evening. Mr. S. D. Rice (president) presided over a fair attendance. It was decided, after much discussion, to remain affiliated to the Northern Waikato Bowling Association. It was resolved to apply to the Auckland Centre v for several dates on which to hold midweek, one-day tournaments. Several members promised and donated 16 seats for use on the green. Mr. Thornton, secretary, announced that information had been received that Mr. C. Hawthorn, late of Manurewa, now of Clevedon, had promised to present a silver cup for competition among the Manukau clubs.. Ho wick, Papatoetoe, Manurewa, Papakura and Clevedon Clubs.
