POSTAL WORKERS’ GUILD
NEW OFFICERS’ BODY SUPPORT IN DUNEDIN Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. A telegram from Dunedin concerning the reported formation of a new organisation of senior officers in the Post and Telegraph service was today referred to the chief postmaster at Wellington. He said the first report from the newlj'-formed branch at Dunedin was received this morning and gave the names of those who had joined at Dunedin and in the Dunedin postal district. It showed that in Dunedin city 57 out of 59 possible members had joined the guild and in the district outside Dunedin 18 out of a possible 22 had joined, making 75 out of 81 possible members. The Post and Telegraph Officers’ Guild had been definitely formed and the membership was increasing rapidly. Committees had been formed in all the centres and much enthusiasm had been shown.
