NORTHERN WAIROA DAIRY COMPANY
A total output for the season of 2,500 tons Is shown in the annual report of the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Co. for the year ended May 31 last. Accounts show a credit balance of £6,389. The season’s output of butter represents an Increase of 291 tons compared with the previous year. The following summary is contained in the report:—Number of suppliers, 682; quantity of cream received, 11,475.3121 b; quantity of butter-fat received, 6,601,6481 b: quantity of butter made a lb. of butter-fat, 1.22381 b; average grade of butter, 92.90; average advance paid for butter-fat, 14.79c\.
MELBOURNE HIDES
MELBOURNE, Thursday. Quotations on the Melbourne hides market today were irregular and lower bv one-eighth of a penr y to a farthing, excepting for special parcels. Sloppy and badly-prepared hides were a half-penny lower.
