Market On ’Change Australian Shares Weak By “Noon Call.” BUDGET proposals, relative to the double stamp duty on shares in overseas companies overshadowed all other topics on ’Change this morning. The general opinion is that, apart from being unwieldy and difficult to impose, the new proposals will restrict business. The market for Australian securities was, if anything, a little weaker this morning.
