NOT ANTAGONISTIC
POSTAL OFFICERS’ NEW ORGANISATION THE GUILD IN REPLY Post and Telegraph officers in Auckland who are possible members of the new controlling officers’ guild declare that the organisation is not intended to split the ranks of the Post and Telegraph Employees’ Association. There is no suggestion, they say. that members of the new guild should withdraw from the association. A meeting of the Auckland branen of the Post and Telegraph Employees’ Association is to be held in the Chamber of Commerce next Tuesday even ing to consider the situation The local branch has gone to some trouble and expense in arranging the meeting, auu circulars have been printed. By an unfortunate error, those interested in the formation of the Auck land branch of the guild have also elected to meet on Tuesday evening at the Unity Hall. It is likely that ao endeavour will be made to avoid the clash. A suggestion has been made that a supporter of the guild should attend the association meeting with the intention of explaining the aims of the guild and showing that it is not in any j antagonistic to the association.
