SCHOOL CHILDREN’S ENJOYABLE COSTUME PARTY AT RAETIHI
. FUNDS FOR IMPROVING SCHOOL GROUNDS The Raetilii School children’s plain and fancy dress dance was held on Friday evening. There was a large attendance of children in fancy costume and Mrs. Taylor, of Rangataua, acted as judge. The music was supplied by Miss .Higgins (piano), Miss Keuck and Mr. Whittington (violins). Advantage was taken at the dance to bid farewell to Miss Emmerson, of the school staff, who is leaving Raetihi to take up another appointment at Gisborne, and on behalf of those present, the headmaster, Mr. X). A. Macpherson, presented Miss Emmerson with a handsome handbag. The proceeds of the dance go toward the improvements of the school grounds. Mrs. A. W.
