ACTION DEPLORED
P. AND T. OFFICERS SCHEME WAIKATO OPPOSITION From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON. Today. The secession movement on the part of higher officials of the P. and T. service to form an executive officers’ guild is not viewed with equanimity by members of the local staff. Although several controlling officers were present at the meeting of the Waikato-King Country section of the P and T. Employees’ Association last evening, the following resolution was carried unanimously: “This meeting expresses regret at the action of controlling officers in the service to form a separate organisation and trusts wiser counsels will prevail so that existing machinery of the association may be utilised to advance its claims and to safeguard the rights of all members, irrespective of positions in the department.”
